Applications are invited for appointment as Principal / Senior Researcher and Post-doctoral Fellow (multiple posts) in the AI Chip Centre for Emerging Smart Systems (ACCESS), to commence as soon as possible, under the joint supervision of Prof. Edmund Lam and Center Director.
ACCESS (https://inno-access.hk) is a multi-disciplinary center for advancing IC design and design automation technologies to enable novel data-centric computing paradigms supporting a wide range of AI applications. One of its four research programs is on Hardware-Accelerated AI Applications, focusing in particular on computational imaging and vision applications benefitting from AI hardware accelerations to achieve breakthroughs in speed, energy efficiency, and imaging performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with background in Electronic Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science, and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in computational imaging algorithms, reconstruction algorithms, computing hardware, and related areas. Technical experience in the implementation of image reconstruction algorithms will be highly desirable. Applicants should be highly self-motivated and have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English as well as the ability to work independently.
The ideal candidate should have strong R&D capability and superior interpersonal and organizational skills. He/She should be an excellent team-player with a strong sense of responsibility, ability to multi-task and work independently, and a good command of written and spoken English. Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills are also required. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
